Alaska Military Youth Academy
Alaska Military Youth Academy offers military type program designed for high school students who have found themselves unprepared for adulthood.  Military graduates must show leadership qualities as well as demonstrate that they are emotionally stable, physically fit, and show a desire to contribute their positive attributes to the school atmosphere. But its core target is behavior modification for each students. Alaska Military Youth Academy designed the '8 core components' to aid learning and help the youth to be a responsible adult and citizen after the course completion.
University of Alaska Anchorage
UAA is made up of six units: arts and sciences, business and public policy, health and social welfare, the Community and Technical College, the School of Engineering, and the colleges of Education.
The University offers a wide variety of specialty career programs to choose from, which feature Associate's, Bachelor's and Master's degree programs. Through UAA's extensive  comprehensive curriculum, students are able to learn useful job skills and develop a cornerstone of educational belief that prepares them for success in future professional schools and in the workplace.
They further offer vocational and professional certificates in over 150 major study areas, these include business, arts, sciences, educations, human services, and medical/health sciences.
 
North Pole High School AFJROTC was started in 1994-95 with 70 cadets in a school of 900 students with Major Alonzo as the instructor. The program consists of 4 stages in Aerospace Science. 40% leadership and 60% Aerospace Science.
Colony High School JROTC is a class and organization within the school that motivates young people to be better citizens while developing skills in the areas of respect, dedication, communication, responsibility, and critical thinking.
Bartlett High School JROTC has included the program for it’s students to participate in the learning experience the JROTC program offers. Students are taught leadership, respect, responsibility, discipline and good character.
